Welcome to my blog! My name is Trista Lerit and I am a wedding photographer based in Orange County, California. Beautiful, Modern, and Edgy Wedding Photography is what I specialize in but every now and then, I love capturing little rascals a.k.a. kids!

This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

I'd love to hear from all my blog visitors so please don't be shy, my blog doesn't bite ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and come again soon!

The Baldwin Family 11-25-2009

Another adorable family! I first met the Baldwin's when I photographed Sharlene's sister Amy's wedding last year.  At that time, she had just given birth to her second daughter Megan.  Her oldest daughter Melissa was the flower girl in Amy's wedding and I must tell you I was in love with her.  She was so incredibly precious!  Now, a whole year and a half later, Melissa is a big girl and her baby sister is catching up quickly!  These two girls were so precious and Melissa was the perfect model.  She did everything I asked..which I'm sure all you photographers out there will understand is practically a miracle when dealing with rascals :-)

Here are some of my favorites..enjoy!

I always do the family portraits first because they are the hardest..

Are they not the cutest sisters you've ever seen?

Melissa is such a little ham!

How sweet is this?

She's up to something..

Perfect model I tell you!

Adore this one!

Sweet moment with Megan & Mom :-)

Love this one of Megan!

Tracy & Andy : Last Wedding of the Year! 11-20-2009

The last wedding of the year!  What a way to end an awesome year..Tracy & Andy had a beautiful wedding at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach.  I loved their wedding because it was filled with such emotion!  I was actually caught of guard because Andy is such a funny guy and always joking around..for example...during their first look, after they saw each other, Andy turned to me and said was I supposed to cry?  Then he said "let's do it again"..he turns around and starts balling his eyes out and kissing Tracy's hand and starts crying some more.  So, you can see why I wasn't expecting Andy to get emotional during the wedding.

However, he was actually very emotional and couldn't stop crying..so much so that his best man roasted him for it later in the toasts :-)  Not only was Andy emotional, so was Tracy, her parents, and Andy's mom..all were crying which was just so beautiful to see.  What touched me so much was during Tracy's dad's toast, he said that he didn't feel like he was losing his daughter...he was just handing the care of his daughter to Andy who had taken such good care of her thus far and he knew that Andy would continue to take good care of her for the rest of her life.  It was a beautiful moment and I'm so glad to have been a part of it!

Tracy & Andy...thanks for sharing your special day with me!  You guys have been such wonderful clients!  You have been so thoughtful throughout this year and I can't thank you enough for being so sweet!  Hope you guys have an amazing time on your honeymoon in the next coming weeks!

Now for some favorites!

I love how happy Tracy is here :-)

I love the sun!  Had to snag these shots before the sun went down!

Used my trusty video light to get some indoor shoots..love the next two!

Of course Andy & Tracy had to have their furbabies a part of their special day :-)

As much as Andy likes to joke around, he was a big softy during the ceremony..totally adorable!

Tracy was a softy too :-)

Love this one!

Yuuumm!!! Banana & Red Velvet Cupcakes..so delsih!

I love running into past clients!  I shot Amy & Frank's wedding last year..

Andy & Tracy take dancing very seriously..or not :-)  Love the smile on Tracy's face!

Andy's friends "making it rain" :-)

Andy has very generous friends :-)

Andy couldn't wait for Tracy to feed him some cake so he snagged some on the side ;-)

Meet the newest member of the Lerit family..Sydney! 11-16-2009

Last week, Doug and I made a very special trip to Georgia to meet our new NIECE Sydney!  She is the first grand daughter in the family so as you can imagine, we were all excited..expecially me since I have a soft spot for little girls.  Well, I'm sure most women have a soft spot for girls..you know..for very important reasons like having the ability to dress them up in cute little dresses and put bows in their hair :-)

Funny story ahead...so, Sydney just turned two months old and is still in that "sleep, eat, pee, poop, sleep" phase.  She is a very good baby who hardly cries...that's always a plus!  However, there was one day when Sydney wasn't feeling well and for whatever reason she woke up in her sleep crying.  While her parents were tending to her, Doug and I decided to go take a nap because we were both jet lagged.  We both must of have been exhausted because even though Sydney was still crying, we fell asleep in an instant.  I woke up maybe half an hour later and Sydney was still crying..poor baby!  I felt bad for her parents as I'm sure they couldn't figure out why their little one was so upset.  I fell asleep soon after that and woke up again another half an hour later or so..Sydney was still crying!  Doug was asleep next to me and I just thought he was good at ignoring it.

So, I fell asleep again and then was woken up later by Doug's sis Melissa..LOL..it was 8:30pm over there..to see if we wanted dinner.  Doug was like "whatever you guys want for dinner" you know..trying to make things easier for them.  Melissa being the gracious hostess said "we're fine with anything..what do you want?"..lol..so, Doug was all "I'm good with anything..whatever you guys want"..hehehe...I finally told Doug "honey...just pick something!  They just had to deal with a screaming baby for a couple or hours so just make it easy for them!"  What does Doug say after this?  "Sydney was crying?"  WHAT!!!!  Both me and Melissa were like "you DIDN'T hear her?"  Melissa said she felt bad for us because they were afraid that we might not want to ever have kids after Sydney's crying episode and Doug slept through the entire thing..figures!!  I've always said that Doug lives in lala land about having kids..every time we see a kid crying hysterically or having a temper tantrum he says "that won't be our kid"..HA! Not only does he live in lala land..now I find out he has selective hearing :-)

The good news is after that one crying episode, Sydney was happy as a clam for our entire trip which made taking pictures of her that much more fun.  There is one tiny problem when photographing a two month old though..they don't lay super still like a newborn would and they can't sit up on their own like a 6 month old can.  So, we had to get "creative" with our posing techniques :-)  It was so cute because when I would talk to Sydney to try to get her to smile, she would "talk" back to me...sooo cute!!

Melissa and Jeff...thanks so much for having us over...we had a great time visiting you guys in Georgia! Hopefully you guys can come visit us in CA sooner than later!

Here are some of my favorites from Sydney's shoot!  Check back later this week for images from my last wedding of the year!

First, let's start off with Sydney adorable nursery!  Her mom found the perfect shade of blue..I love it!

I was so impressed when Melissa told me she made these letters all by herself!  I love the little lambs on the "E"

She made the "little lady" plaque thing as well..Seriously?!  She needs to open up her own Etsy store asap!

How cute is the hair clip holder that Melissa also made..

Now for the star of the show..Sydney!  Love this one of her!

I love this one...such a cute little family!

Not only is Melissa wonderful at being a new mom, she also looks wonderful!  Can you believe she just gave birth two months ago!

One of my favs!

She looks so cute when she sleeps..how adorable is her pink poodle outfit!

She is always happy after a nap :-)

Bath time!  Check out the nifty little "thingy" Melissa uses to wash off the shampoo in Sydney's hair..don't know what it's called but I need one for Spunki :-)

In her little pink robe Uncle Doug got her :-)

She looks like a sweet little angel in her swing..which just so happens to be her favorite thing ever..she could sleep in this for HOURS!!

Little smile for her Auntie Trista!

and a teeny tiny giggle for mommy :-)

How cute is her Christmas outfit?

I love bows :-)
