This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

When Deborah contacted me a few months ago to document her "wedding" on a random Thursday in May, my first thought was "Awesome!".  She told me it was just going to be her, Michael, and the officiant on a beach in San Diego..I thought that was the most romantic thing ever!  You see..Deborah and Michael actually live in Texas but decided to get married in San Diego where they met many years ago when they were both in bootcamp in San Diego..how sweet!  What made an already sweet occasion even better was that their families were able to in the end..it was such a sweet and intimate ceremony and I feel lucky to have been a part of it.  Everyone knows I love a lavish, over the top wedding but to be completely honest, I loved Deborah's & Michael's ceremony just as much..because at the core..love is what matters and these two obviously already know that :-)

Deborah & Michael..congrats on finding true love within each other and living happily ever after!  Here are some of my favorites!

Although Deborah & Michael had a small intimate wedding, that doesn't mean she has to skimp on the dress, right?  Her gorgeous Vera Wang Luxe gown was simply DIVINE!!

Wow..I cannot believe it's already here..tomorrow Doug and I will be celebrating our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary!  I cannot believe it..I have been counting down to this day for an entire year and now it's finally here.  There is so much I want to say but I'll keep it short for now...there are things I want to tell Doug personally before I share it on this blog..the day almost feels too sacred for me to spill my heart out in a blog post..ya know?  But don't worry..I will have lots to share since this Sunday, Doug and I will be throwing an anniversary party with our friends and family which of course, I'll tell you all about once the celebration is over!

Oh yeah, on top of celebrating our anniversary, I will also be celebrating my birthday!  I almost always forget that I'm turning a year older since I'm always more excited about celebrating another year being married to Doug.  I'm sure with time I will be even more thankful that I got married to Doug on my birthday..afterall, who wants to remember how old they are after 30 anyways?

I'll have more pictures to share after our party but for now, here is a picture of us taken during our trip to Paris..more on that later and also more pictures from Europe..bear with me..I've been super busy this past month preparing for our anniversary party!

I love doing engagement sessions because it gives me the chance to learn things about my clients that I normally would not get to learn.  For exampe, Allen decided to wear a bow tie for the second half of the session and Beata told me that Allen actually wears a bow tie EVERDAY to work (he is a kindergarten teacher).  Can you believe that?  I love that..and last Halloween, Beata told me that all of his students dressed up as Allen and wore bow ties to school..how cute is that?

I loved seeing Allen & Beata interact with each other..he has a silly sense of humor (to say the least) and Beata brings a great balance to their relationship.  She really is the yin to his yang :-)
