Welcome to my blog! My name is Trista Lerit and I am a wedding photographer based in Orange County, California. Beautiful, Modern, and Edgy Wedding Photography is what I specialize in but every now and then, I love capturing little rascals a.k.a. kids!

This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

I'd love to hear from all my blog visitors so please don't be shy, my blog doesn't bite ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and come again soon!

Parvin & James : Married...finally!!! 10-23-2008

I had to fight back tears when I saw Parvin on her wedding day.  It had been over year from the day she had called me to tell me that life had taken an unexpected turn and she and James would have to postpone their wedding.  I felt terribly and just hoped that I'd get a call from her sooner rather than later saying that the wedding was back on.  Sure enough, almost exactly a year later, I get an email from Parvin asking me if I was still available to photograph their wedding!  I was so happy and thrilled and so excited to see Parvin and James again.

So, when I walked into the room and saw Parvin for the first time, I was blown away as to how beautiful Parvin looked.  I was happy to see her, she happy to see me...so much had happened that we were both happy to just be there...at her wedding!

All of the weddings I capture are special to me but Parvin and James' was especially sweet for me, as well as the rest of their guests. We all knew the long road Parvin and James had travelled together and to see them finally joining their lives and becoming one was incredible.

Parvin and James...I am sooo incredibly happy for you both and am honored to have been one of the few to witness such a joyous occasion.  I wish you only the best life has to offer!

The perfect spot for a ceremony...Parvin and James got married at their friends private residence in Dana Point right on the beach!

I just love this shot for some reason!

I swear...I don't think I've seen a bride this incredibly happy! Parvin was just beaming!

First look as husband and wife...I love it!

I love this shot of James' parents in the background looking so happy for their son and new daughter in law!

I love this shot...could they be any happier?!

I think Parvin looks like a Queen here!

This is quite possibly my favorite shot of the day!

I love that Parvin's friends also wore the traditional attire!

Surrounded by friends, family, and lots of love :-)

Parvin would like to thank the following awesome vendors for making her wedding to James truly spectacular!

Oscar from Ziba Beauty

Karachi Tandoori

Phoenix Bakery

Stems Fabulous Flowers

Sharon and Rudy : Married! 10-17-2008

Sharon and Rudy got married last weekend at the beautiful Tustin Ranch Golf Club.  It was my first time shooting there and I have to say that I loved it!  The service there is impeccable and they treated all of us so kindly!

I loved all the details that Sharon planned...she is so detailed and organized!  The flowers were beautiful, the ceremony fun and lighthearted, and the weather..oh how I loved the weather that day!  It was a bit chilly and windy but it felt like fall which was perfect since Sharon and Rudy has a fall'ish theme with candied apples and all :-)

Oh, and I can't thank Vanessa from V3 Events enough for being so awesome!  She is so sweet and was on top of everything to make sure that the day went perfectly!

Sharon and Rudy, I had such a great time with you and I hope you have a wonderful time on your honeymoon!  Congrats!!!!

Carina did a fabulous job on Sharon's makeup!

Flower Allie always does a great job with the flowers!

Love this shot of them!

How cute are these rascals?!

Doesn't Sharon have such a beautiful smile?

Loved all the details!

I loved the dramatic lighting on the cake!  Thanks to Mike from Carcano DJ's who did a fabulous job with the lighting!

Special thanks to Amy from AHS photography for coming out to shoot with me!  You rock!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! 10-10-2008

(sorry for the extremely long post..I had an incredible time and want to remember how I felt when I look back years from now..I'm sure you can understand, right? ;-)

The NKOTB concert was beyond incredible!!!  My friend Kate had gone to the show last week and emailed to tell me that it was going to knock my socks off!  Up until that point, I had wondered just how the show was going to be...I worried that it just wouldn't be the "same" with the guys nearly 20 years older, me nearly 20 years older, and everyone else in the Staples Center nearly 20 years older.  BOY WAS I WRONG!!!  It was even better!!!  The guys were hot, still dancing as much as before, and sounding even better!  The fans...well, they are still just as crazy, excited, and in love with the boys from beantown!

The day started when I met my cousin for lunch.  I was so glad she wanted to go because we both went to the NKOTB concert 18 years ago together.  It felt great knowing we were going to be reliving history together..I wish I had pictures of us when we went the first time!  That would have been a funny picture with our 3-inch high bangs...you remember the hair back in junior high, don't you???

We then picked up my BFF LoAnn who is also a HUGE fan of NKOTB...I'm so glad she wanted to go too!  I decided to download their greatest hits album earlier that morning because I thought it would be nice to hear all the songs before the concert.  Once I put in the CD and we heard the first few seconds of "Step by Step", all the gushy, lovey memories came rushing back!

We bought our tickets months ago through www.iloveallaccess.com.  We got this 4 Star VIP package that guarantees you seats within the first 20 rows but you don't find out what seats you get until you get to the box office on the day of the event.  We nearly dropped to our knees when we found out we got 10th row in the center aisle!!!  It's the closest I've ever been to the stage and now that I've experienced it, I'll NEVER go back to "regular" seats!

If you would have told me last year that I would be going to a New Kids on the Block concert and that I would be screaming at the top of my lungs for these guys, I would not have believed you!  This is what I just love about life...it's so unpredictable and brings little happy surprises when you least expect it!  The show was 10 million times better than I ever thought it could be and I am so FREAKING glad that I went!

After the show, we went to Noodle World to get some yummy food and swoon over the guys.  We all agreed that it was the best concert we had ever been to and that we would look back on it as one of the best times in our lives.  I'm sure most of you are thinking "she is certifiably crazy!".  But let me try to explain...

Have you ever wished that you could go back in time to your childhood and just relive one day just so you could remember what it was like to be a kid?  When everything was so simple...when you weren't worried about the economy, how much work you STILL have to get done, if you will EVER be ready to have kids, are you REALLY ready to buy a home, etc etc?  Well, that night I can promise you that I didn't think about ANY of the above..not even once!  The moment the guys appeared on stage, it was as if I was 12 years old again. That night I was lucky enough to go back to a time when life was simple...and boy did I have the best freaking time of my life!!!

NKOTB fan for life baby!!!

Now for some pictures!  I was going to sneak in my camera but it turns out that I didn't need to sneak at all..they LET you bring in your cameras?!

LOL..there were lots of guys that brought their girlfriends/wives to the concert..how sweet!

The three of us before the concert

See..we aren't the only ones who love NKOTB!

OMG...everyone including myself was going insane at this point!!!  I nearly fainted because I was screaming so much that I forgot to breathe..lol..I needed to take a moment...lol!

This is when I became 12 years old again :-)

Joe..oh how I loved you!

Love this pic of Jordan..my point-and-shoot camera got some great pics considering the circumstances!

For you Jon lovers ;-)

I swear..Donnie was looking at ME!

Sorry for the blurry pic but I HAD to post this..Danny is nearly a 40 year old man and can still do a windmill!!!

This part of the show was cool..not for me but for everyone in the back of the arena!  The guys surprised everyone by appearing on this little stage in the back for a portion of the show.  I'm sure everyone in the back appreciated this..I know I would have!

Lance Bass was there!  There was all this commotion around him before the show so I thought I'd snap a pic of him when nobody was paying attention to him :-)

The crowd...

Ummm...I have no words :-)

The end...I wished that it would keep on going!

So, for all you New Kids fans that are reading this and didn't plan on going to a show..DO IT!!!  I promise you, you will NOT regret it!  You will have more fun than you ever thought possible and your love for the NEW KIDS will increase ten fold!

If you still aren't planning on going, here is a very special video that my cousin found on You Tube the morning after the concert..lol...she was still suffering from NKOTB fever ;-)

This is the very beginning of the show so if you plan on going, don't watch it..you want to be surprised right??
