Welcome to my blog! My name is Trista Lerit and I am a wedding photographer based in Orange County, California. Beautiful, Modern, and Edgy Wedding Photography is what I specialize in but every now and then, I love capturing little rascals a.k.a. kids!

This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

I didn't realize that I hadn't blogged in nearly two weeks so I thought I'd better write up a post before you all started to think something bad happened to me ;-)

Obviously, it's slow season for weddings so I've been busy meeting up with potential new clients for 2009...*newsflash* If you are getting married this year, you need to start booking your vendors NOW if you haven't done so already!!!  Booking season officially started January 1st so you don't want all your favorite vendors to get booked up because you waited too long!

Other than meeting with awesome new clients, Doug and I have been busy with the whole house situation.  We were supposed to pick out paint colors weeks ago but when it came down to making a decision, it was too freaking hard to decide!  Who know there were a million and one different shades of grey?

LOL..if you can see in the lower right corner, we got a little brave and sampled some colors other than grey :-)  You would think for someone who has a bright pink website that I wouldn't be afraid of color but I TOTALLY am when it comes to picking colors for the walls..what gives?  Well, it could be that Mr. Lerit has a big hand in that...he really dislikes any colors I throw at him so now he has converted me to a color-phobe.  I guess any "crazy" colors (i.e. anything other than grey) will have to be limited to my office.  Is painting my office pink totally overkill?

Aside from the stressful picking-out-paint situation, the home decor front is finally getting under way.  I am OFFICIALLY obsessed with anything home-decor related!  Doug and I finally purchased some furniture this past weekend and I can't tell you how excited I am for the pieces to arrive in the next 4-6 weeks...good god..that is a long time to still be living with no furniture!

I was toying with the idea of starting a separate blog for all of my new home adventures because I figured some of you might not give a sh*t what color I painted my bathroom...lol..yes, I just typed that :-)  But seriously, should I start a new blog so that anyone who is interested in home decor can follow, and those that don't, can be spared all the home chit-chat? Or do all of you care what color my bathroom is and do not want to add yet another blog to your RSS reader?  Let me know what you think!

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope everyone had an awesome start to the new year!  I still can't believe another year has passed...time goes by so quickly when you're having fun!  2008 was such a great year for me personally and professionally.  Looking back on all the weddings I shot last year reminded me of just how fortunate I am to be able to be a wedding photographer and work with such AWESOME couples!  Thanks AGAIN to all my couples (past, present, and future) who put their trust in me to capture one of the biggest days in their life...you all are incredible!  

Now for some fun!  There were so many images that I wanted to blog but it would have taken me forever to blog each and every one of them.  So, here is a very narrowed down version of my Favorites of 2008 (in no particular order).
